• How often will you be dishing out a new episode?
• Will it be a solo show or will you be inviting guests?
• How long will each episode last?

2. Podcasting requires time and effort

One of the common myths people have when it comes to podcasting is they would become an instant celebrity after a few episodes. While it is a possibility, it is rarely the case for most. If truth be told, many podcasters spend weeks, even months diligently uploading quality episodes before getting the recognition and the following they are looking for and deserve.

If you want your podcast to thrive and succeed, you need to be willing to put in the time and the effort. This can get especially challenging when you see disappointing stats. However, take consolation in the fact that success does not always happen overnight. It is reassuring to know though that as long as you remain consistent and you work hard, you will eventually be rewarded.

While podcasting won’t take you back as much compared to producing videos, you still need to invest. For starters, you need to ensure that you have quality recording equipment so you are able to produce something that’s not substandard.

4. Clarity of speech is critical

One thing many successful podcasters share is they articulate their words really well. They also speak at a pace that is good even when they are excited. Why is this crucial? Even if you have a lot of beneficial information to share, it would be useless if your listeners can’t understand you.
